The Dorf Cafe is legendary and already something of an insider tip in Ischgl. A little hidden, but still easy to find.
A good meal - and a good wine to complement it - spend the evening with friends, family and other nice people - enjoy the sociable atmosphere and feel at home in cosy corners and niches, in the alpine hut, in the arches, in the parlour or at the bar.
The Dorf Cafe, elaborately built by local carpenters and joiners, is a homely and unique cellar restaurant characterised by ancient wood. Almost 35 years ago, the wood of the entire half-timbered roof truss of our old house from 1681 was reused and installed here. In the middle part of the Dorf Cafe, our old pine wood parlour from 1766 found a home - 4 walls that could tell a lot about the past and offered our family and the generations before a homely living room for many decades. Likewise, the wood of a 300-year-old alpine hut from the Lech Valley was removed and reinstalled in the restaurant. Admire almost forgotten traditional tools and utensils that tell of the simple and hard-working life of earlier times.

No table reservation without a confirmation! No table reservation via answering machine!
For organisational reasons, we have to set and schedule fixed reservation times.
We ask for your understanding that for organisational reasons we cannot accept and fulfil every table reservation and every reservation request.
Good to know
The reserved table will be kept free for a maximum of 15 minutes and will then be given to other guests in case of a "no show". The 15 minutes limit applies both ways.
If you come without a table reservation, the tables will be given according to the available table size and the number of people. This means that a table for 5 people, for example, will not be given to 2 people, or a table for 2 people, for example, cannot be given to a group of 8 people.
As we currently do not take a deposit or reservation fee for table reservations, the guest has no legal claim to a reserved table. We accept no liability for errors in the entry of the reservation. We would also like to point out that in the event of unforeseeable incidents or sudden staff shortages, the restaurant will have to be rearranged at short notice and it may happen that we cannot maintain all or any of the table reservations.
